New Software-Release: NEXIS 4.1.30

We are happy to present you our latest release of our NEXIS 4 software. This version comes with a variety of new features.

Version 4.1.30 of NEXIS 4 was released on August 2nd. This latest update of our software offers significant improvements and new features that will significantly optimize your experience with NEXIS 4.

Key-Features of our release:

Analytics Module:

  • A SoD check is now also executed for attribute changes, which checks whether this results in violations of SoD rules. The check can now be activated at the start node of the respective workflow.

Governance Module:

  • A grace period can now be configured for synchronization rules in the Sync Engine. This grace period allows you to set a time period until the validation of export jobs.
  • In the Sync Engine, the missing creation or deletion of entities can now also be configured as a trigger for an export job.
  • Furthermore, various performance improvements have been made in the Sync Engine.
  • The event trigger functionality has been extended accordingly so that it is now also available for resources.

Business Module:

  • In End User Services, the task attributes of the tasks to be created can now also be set.
  • The order of the tabs can be configured in entity views.
  • In cards for inactive entities, filters can be configured that can restrict the displayed objects.
  • It is now possible to validate table configurations in order to eliminate any inconsistencies.

Authorization Concept Module:

  • For authorization concepts, it is possible to set a user-defined date as a reference date. This is now used for reminder workflows for authorization concepts and the creation date is no longer considered as an alternative value.

Various improvements, e.g.:

  • In the area of assignment rules: Within the assignment rule UI, a larger number of departments can now be displayed in the department rules. Furthermore, the display of the combo box dropdowns has been changed so that the selected values are automatically sorted upwards
  • In the administration module area: If the backup creation fails, the available memory is now blocked directly in order to be able to determine more quickly whether insufficient memory was the cause. In addition, it is now possible to display the progress of export services within the service overview.

Fixed bugs:

  • A bug that made it impossible to edit plugin configurations has been fixed. When attempting to save, only the message that the entered ID has already been assigned appeared. Another error that could occur when uploading identical plugins has also been fixed. This error could lead to the plugin window no longer opening.
  • The following errors in the entity view have been fixed:
    • If there are target system-specific assignment attributes, an error could occur that prevents the entity view from being opened.
    • If the assignments to orphan accounts were displayed in an entity view for system entitlements, an error occurred that prevented the entity view from being opened.
    • An error that could occur when configuring an entity view for detail columns in recertification has been fixed.
  • In addition, a bug has been fixed that caused import thresholds not to be saved. The error occurred if the same threshold value was to trigger both a notification and the termination of the import.

Use cases:

The new functionalities in NEXIS 4.1.30 bring improvements to the Governance module in the Sync Engine area. Users benefit from general usability improvements in the administration module, making general handling more efficient and intuitive.

  • Sync Engine improvements: Here, the missing creation or deletion of entities can now be configured as a trigger for an export job and the introduction of a grace period extends the functionality so that a time period for validating export jobs can be configured.
  • Improved usability: A number of accessibility improvements and bug fixes have been made, e.g. checkboxes that are not editable are now visually different from editable checkboxes. In addition, a message is now displayed if a user is logged into the Analyst module but does not have any page assignments. Previously, only an empty page was displayed in this case. In addition, a corresponding message is now also displayed when an invalid URL is called up in the Analyst module.
