New Software Release: NEXIS 4.1.33

We are happy to present you our latest release of our NEXIS 4 software. This version comes with a variety of new features.

The update to version 4.1.33 of NEXIS 4 offers significant optimizations and enhancements that will further improve your experience with NEXIS 4.

Key-Feature of the release:

Analytics Module:

Governance Module:

  • The number of workflow cancel scripts is now displayed in the script version window. In addition, the history of the assigned workflows and their frequency of use is displayed.

Business Module:

  • Webshop improvements: Roles and system entitlements that have already been assigned can no longer be added to the shopping cart to avoid duplicate assignments.

Authorization Concept Module:

  • The NEXIS 4 API has been extended and now enables a direct query for specific role versions. This function is particularly relevant for task connectors that process the last exported role.

Fixed bugs:

  • Problem with staging service buttons solved: An error that prevented the correct staging of service buttons under certain conditions has been fixed.
  • Error when bookmarks: A problem that caused an error when deleting a bookmark has been corrected.
  • User login improvements: A bug that prevented the user menu from loading when logging in has been fixed so that the menu is now displayed correctly.
  • Stability when deleting paused workbook instances: Several errors that occurred when deleting a paused workbook instance – especially if the related object was already deleted or not imported – have been fixed. The following linked elements are now reliably removed:
    • Workbook comments
    • Entries in the workbook change history
    • Change requests
    • Data assignments
  • Correction in NEXIS 4 roles: A bug that allowed read-only roles to edit and release workbooks in the Authorization Concept module has been fixed. The role now has read-only access, as intended.
  • Error with dynamic role flagging: An issue that caused roles to be incorrectly flagged as dynamic when their role rules were edited via a form has now been fixed.
  • Error in single-select mode of the business role list: A problem that prevented the selection of rows in single-select mode of the business role list (card view) has been fixed.
  • Improved event trigger evaluation: An error that incorrectly triggered a department change when an employee’s responsibility changed has been corrected.

Use cases:

  • Adjustments to the workbook form import: The file name no longer has to match the reference object exactly. Instead, the name of the reference object can be specified in a separate column, which makes it easier to handle special characters in the file name.
  • Improved End User Service / Self Service: Roles with empty rules are no longer automatically assigned to all employees. If a rule remains empty, the role is deliberately not assigned.

System requirements:

There are no changes to the system requirements for this version.
