Nexis is a specialized security software company focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM), Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) in complex identity and risk environments. Since its foundation, Nexis has combined continuous research, practical expertise, and close collaboration with customers to help organizations establish clarity and control over identities, access rights, and risk across increasingly interconnected IT landscapes.

All NEXIS solutions are designed and developed in Germany. Nexis works with large, global organizations in finance, insurance, and other regulated industries, as well as across additional sectors where scalable, audit-ready identity governance is essential.

Building and growing companies and teams, mentoring individuals to succeed, and helping customers navigate the complexity of IAM are my strengths. I am solution-oriented, forward-thinking, always keeping a level head, and able to switch and adapt quickly. Openness, transparency, being present for the team, and building strong and long-lasting relationships and are key to me.

Dr. Michael Kunz, COO

I'm grounded in Identity Security – both academically and in practice – and I'm motivated by real, measurable outcomes. I work best where strategy meets execution – building teams, developing people, and helping clients make confident IAM and GRC decisions. I lead our sales and consulting organisation with a clear focus - turning security and reguatory requirements into practical solutions, creating trust, and driving sustainable growth. Behind the scenes, I keep the organisation aligned – connecting teams, sharpening priorities, and translating vision into momentum. I value ownership, continuous learning and strong long-term relationships – because in IT Security, lasting success is built on trust and consistency.

Dr. Matthias Hummer, CTO

I’m passionate about redefining enterprise security as a catalyst for real business value. As CTO of Nexis, I focus on building secure, scalable, and user-centric systems that empower both organizations and individuals. My work blends technology strategy, product design, and deep expertise in Authorization Governance and GRC to turn regulatory complexity into opportunity. I believe great platforms don’t just meet compliance—they drive clarity, trust, and long-term impact.

Felix Gruber, CFO

My keen interest in finance and corporate development initially led me to study finance, controlling and business/tax law. There I laid the foundation for my professional career, which took me through various management positions in financial management. In these roles, I not only created structures and processes, but also actively supported and optimized strategic decisions. As CFO of Nexis, my focus is on securing the financial stability of the company and successfully developing it further with future-oriented strategies, in particular to enable long-term and sustainable growth.

Daniel Zimmermann, Chairman

Developing companies a little further every day is what drives me. Having grown up in a family business, I have always been passionate about entrepreneurship. In addition to my long-standing role as Managing Director of a growing, medium-sized software product manufacturer, I have accompanied Nexis on its development path in recent years as Chairman of the Advisory Board. Sparring with the management team is a priority for me. For me, the highly motivated team, the ambition of each individual to develop further and the very market-oriented product are the basis for the successful growth of Nexis.

Dr. Ludwig Fuchs, Advisory Board Member & Strategic Advisor

As an enthusiastic IAM expert, I am always keen to close the gap between the functional requirements of the various business areas and the technical implementation by IT. My almost 20 years of experience as a lecturer and researcher at various universities and my practical project experience inspired me to develop the NEXIS 4 software, a tool for user-friendly and automated role and authorisation management. My high quality standards and my attention to detail are the key to the success of Nexis and our NEXIS 4 software.
