The Challenge

As UNIQA expanded its digital services and application landscape, identity governance became increasingly complex.Access rights across multiple business applications needed to be governed consistently, while regulatory requirements demanded transparent documentation and continuous monitoring of authorization risks.Existing governance processes relied heavily on manual documentation and fragmented data sources.

The goal was to:

The Approach

UNIQA implemented the NEXIS platform to establish a structured identity governance framework across its IT landscape.

1. Centralize Identity Data

Identity and entitlement data from multiple systems were consolidated into a unified governance model.

2. Analyze Access Structures

NEXIS Identity & Access Analytics provided transparency across roles, permissions, and authorization patterns.

3. Implement Governance Controls

Segregation-of-duties rules and governance workflows were introduced to manage access risks.

4. Establish Continuous Monitoring

Risk indicators and governance metrics enabled ongoing oversight of identity-related risks.

The Solution

The implementation of NEXIS enabled UNIQA to significantly strengthen its governance capabilities while reducing operational complexity.
