Who Has Access? Just Ask NEXIS
Who has access to this system? Which roles carry SoD conflicts? Why does this account still exist? Questions like these often require reports, exports or tickets. With Model Context Protocol (MCP) support in the NEXIS Platform, they can become a conversation instead.
MCP enables AI assistants to interact directly with NEXIS and provide contextual answers based on information about employees, roles, accounts, permissions, target systems and IAM governance documentation. It works with your own LLM service inside your trusted environment, while authorization and governance remain under control.
The result: identity visibility and governance insights become directly accessible through natural-language questions.

Do You Know What Your AI Agents Can Access?
AI agents are becoming part of everyday business operations and with that, part of the identity and access landscape. They can hold permissions, access applications and corporate data, and interact with human users. But who owns them, what can they access, and which risks emerge when human and agent access is considered together?
The NEXIS AI Agent Health Checkprovides a focused, data-driven assessment of the AI agents in your Microsoft tenant. Based on your actual tenant data, it helps you:
- Establish an inventory of your AI agents
- Understand their access and reach across your environment
- Identify ownership and accountability gaps
- Detect SoD risks that only become visible when human and AI agent access is analyzed together
- Prioritize next steps for bringing AI agents under governance
The result is a clear baseline for extending identity governance principles from your people to your growing population of AI agents.

The Data Problem Nobody Wants to Own
Nexis is named in the 2026 Gartner® Establish an Identity Data Layer to Reduce Technical Debt and Secure AI report. The report highlights an important challenge: better visibility and AI alone cannot solve the underlying problems caused by fragmented or inconsistent identity data.
For us, this reinforces a key principle behind NEXIS: identity data needs to be treated as the foundation for analytics, AI and effective governance. Bringing data together is only the beginning – organizations also need to correlate it, uncover hidden conflicts and continuously improve data quality through governance.
Read our latest blog article to learn more about Gartner’s perspective and how NEXIS approaches the identity data challenge.
Hear Us on the Superintelligence Podcast
Our CEO Dr. Heiko Klarl joined hosts Kim Isenberg and Peter Thum on The Superintelligence Podcast to discuss a growing challenge for enterprises: Who controls AI agents when they can independently choose how to achieve a goal?
The conversation explores non-human identities, ownership and accountability, delegated authority, policy governance and runtime enforcement, as well as how organizations can discover AI agents and bring their access under governance.
Tune in to hear Heiko’s perspective on keeping AI agents under control.
